Bridesmaids to crowd in March, means that real people in real relationships, naughty, very funny. Thank you, Kristen Wiig, for each of these old-school Rs. In fact, so rare that kind of humor in the testosterone based ha-ha-Hollywood these days, it almost makes me ha-ha-happy producer Judd Apatow is currently the industry's anointed prince clown 800 pounds as he probably had every 800 pounds of his royal powers to get this movie made. (R-rated rides women-centric, gal-pal not exactly top wish lists studio.)
Wiig stars as Annie, the maid increasingly unbalanced honor of her best friend Lillian cousin marriage (Maya Rudolph) next. They are surrounded by a set of Twisted Sister mind that come in all shapes and sizes (both in spirit and sisters, without regard to gender, only "doing it for themselves"), and an administrator Paul Feig, who shows a lot good sense of humor.
This creative team includes Rose Byrne ("Damages") and Melissa McCarthy ("Mike & Molly"), Wendi McLendon-Covey with ("Reno 911!") And Ellie Kemper ("The Office") as the other girls gay. They all work hard to extract the maximum clever absurdities of the screenplay co-written by Annie Mumolo and Wiig, friends whose cooperation go back to their days Groundlings improv.
